DELF — a French diploma, valid for life
The DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) is an official diploma awarded by the French Ministry of Education, certifying proficiency across four independent diplomas aligned with the CECRL: A1, A2, B1, and B2. The DELF B2 grants access to French universities without further language testing.

Registration deadline: November 20, 2026. Exams take place at the Alliance Française de Los Angeles. Registration and payment are handled by the Alliance Française de Pasadena — see "How registration works" below.

DELF Junior
The DELF Junior is the specially adapted version for teenagers — also open to young French citizens residing in non-francophone countries and schooled in local institutions.
How registration works
AFdeLA is a passation center linked to the exam center of the Alliance Française de Pasadena: your registration is handled by the Pasadena office, but the test takes place at the Alliance Française de Los Angeles. Official certificates are currently issued approximately 6–8 months after the test date.
