Our journey traces back to the founding of the Alliance Française de Paris in 1883. Today, we stand as a proud member of a global network of more than 900 chapters spanning 130 countries — and, through the Federation of Alliances Françaises USA, a nationwide family of over 100 chapters across the United States and Puerto Rico.

The Alliance Française de Los Angeles is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, independently run and receiving no government subsidies. What makes our Alliance unique is not just our rich history, but the programs we offer — led by our dedicated teachers and supported by passionate leadership.
